The commemoration of the International Year of Indigenous Languages started with the language ‘Hindi’, the most spoken language in India and the fourth most-spoken first language in the world. The students of grade X A presented the assembly with the national pledge, thought for the day and news in Hindi. They spoke about the origin of Hindi language and its role in keeping our nation united. Being a vast nation, the influence of Hindi has beautified and influenced other regional languages. Apart from this we have different dialects of Hindi like Khari boli, Haryanvi, Chhattisgarhi, Lucknawi and many more.
The beauty of Hindi was reiterated through a sambahshan (dialogue) using idioms and phrases. The assembly concluded with a poem eulogizing Hindi language.
