The faculty of the three branches of Delhi School of Excellence, celebrated Teachers day on 5th September 2019, to commemorate the contribution made by teachers to the society. The venue of the celebrations was DSE Banjara and the event was hosted by DSE Attapur.
The atmosphere was quite a joyous one with everyone gathered there; looking forward to an exciting day filled with great and cherished moments and waiting to watch the teachers of the three branches display their talents in their own unique way. The programme commenced with a welcome note to the luminaries of DSE group of institutions by Ms Bharti, Vice Principal DSE Attapur followed by the customary lamp lighting ceremony. A sapling was also planted to mark the occasion and to reaffirm DSE’s commitment to the green initiative.
Principals of the three branches of DSE in their address to the gathering said that teachers are the backbone of the society as they play a great role in building up the characters of students, and shape them to become ideal citizens of the nation.
In her address to the gathering, Ms Rama Devi, Secretary DSE Group of institutions lauded the teachers for their continuous, selfless and commendable efforts in shaping the future generations.
Following her address, was a felicitation ceremony wherein the faculty members who had completed tenure of five years with the institution and had maintained 100 % attendance were conferred with cash awards of Rs 5000 and 3000 respectively.
The Vice Chairperson Ms Shilpa, in her address conveyed Chairman Sri P Madhusudan Rao sir’s best wishes to the teachers and thanked the teachers for their dedication and sincere service to the institution
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Shashikala, the Academic Director expressed that teachers play a vital role in making their pupil responsible citizens of tomorrow and wonderful human beings. She also added that teachers were the cornerstone of a students’ future and that they should be worthy role models.
The cultural extravaganza began on an auspicious note with the teachers of DSE Attapur presenting an invocation dance seeking the blessings of almighty. The staff of the three branches of DSE regaled the gathering with their enthralling performances by presenting a rainbow of programs, which soaked everyone in the depth of music, songs, dance and hilarious skits.
A sumptuous lunch and the customary gifts to all teachers from the management as token of love completed the day.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms Lakshmi Gowri, Headmistress DSE Attapur.
