On 26th November, the students of grade VIII presented a special assembly on the National Constitution Day.
It began with an introduction of the topic by Ms. Malathi, the HOD of Social Science Department. The National Constitution Day is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the Indian constitution on 26th November 1949 and to remember the chief architect of our constitution, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
The assembly started with a talk on Constitution, followed by the reading of the Preamble, the introduction to the constitution. Next, the students gave an insight into the eleven fundamental duties. The constitution pledge was administered to the students.
The programme concluded with the patriotic song ‘Hind Desh ke Nivasi’. Mr. Augustine Thomas, the Principal in his address, spoke about the importance of the constitution and exhorted the students to respect and follow the rules and regulations in every field.
