75th Independence Day Celebrations

“The future depends on what you do today”- Mahatma Gandhi
Independence Day is a reminder of the sacrifices of our valiant freedom fighters who stood up against the colonisers and even suffered harsh consequences unflinchingly, so that the later generations could breathe free air.
Though the pandemic has confined us to our homes, it hasn’t dampened our patriotic spirit and pride for the nation. In the times of virtual learning too, Delhi School of Excellence, Attapur remodelled the Independence Day rituals to keep the fervour of this important day alive in students and staff alike.

To mark the 75th Independence Day of India, the school held a week-long celebration and organised a plethora of virtually interactive events and competitions for the students. This allowed the participants to express their patriotic ideals and showcase their talents even in these unprecedented times as they participated in these events with great zeal and enthusiasm.
On 15th August 2021, the school conducted a virtual livestream to celebrate Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the 75th Independence Day of India. The hoisting of the National flag by the Principal Mr. Augustine Thomas and the euphonious recital of the National Anthem, paid a humble homage to the great leaders who fought for the Independence of our country.
The livestream displayed the glimpses of various performances from the online events conducted in the past week. The event was a spectacular amalgamation of dance, music and speech performances on patriotic themes by the students of the school. Students of the high School and the tiny tots alike, prepared performances and recorded them to make it a visual treat. In spite of remotely collaborating, the nationalistic zeal of the students and faculty did not fall short.
The video presentations of the tribute paid to the heroes of the Tokyo Olympics 2021 who made the Nation proud with their stellar performances in various events and Bharat Mata’s visit to DSE Attapur and her interaction with Gen Z was a wonderful sight to behold.

Recognising the achievements of the little heroes of DSE who have etched their names in the DSE history, the magnanimous DSE management awarded a cash prize of RS 10000/- to Vishalini of Grade 2 E who was bestowed the title of ‘The Youngest Patent Holder’ by the India Book of Records 2022 for inventing ‘An Automatic Multi-Functional Life Rescue Flood House’
