National Science Day commemorating the discovery of the Raman effect by Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman was celebrated on 28th February at DSE, Attapur on the virtual platform for students and parents. A variety of experiments unlocking the mysteries of science were showcased. The program had a great start with the special appearance of Dr Satendra Kumar Mangrauthia, an expert in the field of horticulture. He presented the procedure involved in tissue culture. To make it more entertaining there was an amalgamation of cultural events like dance and music on the theme of science. Apart from the phenomenal scientific procedure demonstrated at its best the program also included engaging scientific activities like eye exercise and Zumba for maintaining good health. Various sustainable methods for the conservation of nature were also suggested. The scientific explanation of the hearsay of certain myths and superstitions were well explained. Experiments related to the pH of substances around us, eye and brain exercise to reduce tension and a street play on the protocol to be followed to save us from the present pandemic were the other highlights. The program was a huge success with everyone watching enlightened with a new set of information.
