First Day of Kindergarten
First day at school was celebration time for “Tiny Tots”, as the new entrants attended the school for the first time on 25th March 2019. There was hustle and bustle all around and the school wore a cheerful look as students headed towards their wing in their new uniforms. Teachers had decorated their wing with balloons, creative bulletin boards, etc. to welcome and cheer up the little ones and create a pleasant and amiable atmosphere for them as they walked into their classrooms.
The children received a warm welcome from their teachers. They started with an introduction and interaction session in a play way method. Circle time activities were conducted in each class. The children were allowed free play in order to adjust themselves in the new environs. Many other activities such as colouring, drawing, outdoor games, story time were conducted throughout the day to make the children feel comfortable. Overall the day was joyful and entertaining for the tiny tots.
The 2nd open house meeting was organised by the Pre-Primary wing on 11th February 2019. The aim of the event was to make the parents familiarize with the teaching procedures adopted by the teachers in the classroom through fun ways.
Unique activities were chosen by the teachers to inculcate the learning of the concepts in all the subjects that were displayed in innovative play way methods. Children enthusiastically explained the concepts to their parents.
Keeping the motor developments of the child in mind with the appropriate knowledge of the concept, each class was set with educational yet fun filled floor activities which was the USP of this session. The parents were truly satisfied and happy to see their ward’s involvement in learning the concepts.[gallery_bank type="images" format="thumbnail" title="false" desc="false" responsive="true" display="all" sort_by="pic_id" special_effect="none" animation_effect="bounce" album_title="false" album_id="853"]

HONCHOS OF DSE
School council is a vital body of the school’s smooth functioning where in students possessing leadership qualities are nominated. Qualities like being responsible and pro-active, organized, self- motivated, amicable, communicative, active participant in various competitions, consistently high standard of behaviour, ability to lead peers, confidence in public forums and devoting time towards the house systems are some of the parameters in the criteria list.
The nominees were selected after an appraisal of the best students from each class by a board of teachers. They delivered their candidature speeches on the days allocated to them which were followed by fervent campaigning. Each one proved that there was no flaw in the selection procedure as they all exceptionally demonstrated themselves through their speeches. The litmus test i.e. the elections took place on 4th April and the results were declared on 9th April. There were scenes of jubilation and disappointments, but the best part was when some of them spoke about positive support they would lend throughout, even after losing the elections.
The New School Governing Body is all set to hold the mantle of responsibility. DSE Family congratulates the leaders and wishes them a successful journey of leadership.
