School council is a vital body of the school’s smooth functioning where in students possessing leadership qualities are nominated. Qualities like being responsible and pro-active, organized, self- motivated, amicable, communicative, active participant in various competitions, consistently high standard of behaviour, ability to lead peers, confidence in public forums and devoting time towards the house systems are some of the parameters in the criteria list.

The nominees were selected after an appraisal of the best students from each class by a board of teachers. They delivered their candidature speeches on the days allocated to them which were followed by fervent campaigning. Each one proved that there was no flaw in the selection procedure as they all exceptionally demonstrated themselves through their speeches. The litmus test i.e. the elections took place on 4th April and the results were declared on 9th April. There were scenes of jubilation and disappointments, but the best part was when some of them spoke about positive support they would lend throughout, even after losing the elections.
